Showbiz Personalities Rally in Favor of Palestine in Karachi

Protests and rallies are taking place around the world against the ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestinians since May 7 this month. Demonstrations and rallies are also going on in Pakistan to show solidarity with the Palestinians and in this regard, showbiz and political personalities also organized a rally on May 20 in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province.

Various showbiz, political and social personalities including Mahira Khan, Ayesha Umar, Shehryar Munawar, Hina Altaf, Faisal Qureshi, Gibran Nasir, and Farooq Sattar participated in the rally in front of Karachi Press Club to express solidarity with the Palestinians. Showbiz figures rallied from Frere Hall to the Karachi Press Club to show solidarity with the Palestinians, while also demonstrating outside the press club against Israeli aggression.

Showbiz figures at the rally held banners and placards with slogans in favor of an independent Palestine and against Israeli aggression. Arabic-language songs about an independent Palestine were also played during the demonstration, which was attended by a large number of relatives and friends of showbiz personalities. A large number of young girls and boys also participated in the rally organized by the showbiz personalities and all of them chanted slogans of free Palestine.

Rally participants called on the United Nations and other powerful countries to stop the atrocities against the Palestinians and pave the way for a free Palestine. Even before the rally, showbiz personalities had participated in pro-Palestinian rallies in Lahore besides Karachi, while almost all the personalities on social media have been active against Israeli atrocities.

Apart from showbiz personalities, political, social figures and ordinary Pakistanis have also been holding rallies and demonstrations in favor of the Palestinians and against Israeli attacks for the past week, while an anti-Israel campaign is also being launched on social media. Protests against Israeli atrocities are taking place not only in Pakistan but also in Europe and the United States, including most Islamic countries in the world.

Recent Israeli attacks between May 7 and May 20 killed 230 Palestinians and injured more than 1,700, including 65 children and 39 women. Hamas retaliated after the Israeli attacks, killing 12 Israelis and wounding 336.
