Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Transferred from Adiala Jail to Hospital

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, senior vice-president of the PML-N and former prime minister, was shifted from Adiala Jail to the hospital. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been shifted to a private hospital in H-8 sector of the federal capital.
The medical board had recommended Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's operation in Adiala Jail after his hernia operation. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had been diagnosed with kidney and bladder stones and will now undergo further tests. The Punjab Home Department issued a directive to the jail authorities to arrange foolproof security arrangements for transfer of Shahid Khaqan to the hospital after which he was shifted to the hospital.
It is to be noted that on October 28, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had applied for his own treatment and took the stand that he too should be allowed to go to a private hospital at his own expense. Meanwhile, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's lawyer had requested that a decision be taken not to treat Nawaz Sharif soon.
Two former rulers of the country Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif are also suffering from various diseases and were shifted from jail to hospital. Asif Ali Zardari, arrested in the fake accounts case, was shifted from jail to hospital due to back pain but was later shifted back to jail.
Similarly, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who was sentenced to seven years in Al-Azizia Reference, was also shifted from Kot Lakhpat Jail to Services Hospital on October 21 after sudden natural disarmament, after which he also requested a release on his bail.
Later, the Islamabad High Court approved his bail on medical grounds and suspended him for eight weeks and he is now in hospital.
