Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty in a statement to the Anti-Narcotics Force Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said that "Sara Ali Khan" and a few others were also involved in the drug scandal.
Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Bureau on September 8 on charges of arranging drugs for actor Sushant Singh, who committed suicide in June this year. Rhea Chakraborty was arrested after three days of interrogation after she confessed to narcotics authorities that she had been arranging drugs for her ex-boyfriend Sushant Singh.
Even before Rhea Chakraborty, the Narcotics Bureau had arrested her brother Shouk Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput's manager Samuel Miranda and chef Deepesh Sawant, while a total of 10 people, including the actress, have been arrested so far.
Rhea Chakraborty was kept in the narcotics office one night after her arrest but was later transferred to Mumbai's infamous Byculla jail on the morning of September 9.
After spending two nights in jail, Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer had applied for bail in a special court in Mumbai, but the court rejected his application. According to a report by Pink Villa, during the NCB investigation, Rhea Chakraborty said that along with her and Sushant Singh, Rakul Preet Singh and designer Simon Khambata also used to take drugs.
Following the revelation of Rhea Chakraborty, the social networking site Twitter has been criticized by internet users for linking showbiz personalities. At the same time, on Twitter, Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara Ali Khan is being demanded to be removed from all product advertisements.
One user wrote that Sara Ali Khan should be removed from all advertisements, we are fed up with nepotism and drug users.
"Take immediate action if you want us to use your product," she added.
According to a Times Now report, Rhea Chakraborty had admitted that the three had taken drugs with Sushant Singh and her.
It may be recalled that Sara Ali Khan had worked with Shant Singh Rajput in a film called Kadar Nath. In addition, Samuel Haokip claimed that Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh were allegedly related to each other.
In addition, the Narcotics Bureau is preparing to issue summons to 25 more Bollywood personalities following the drug case in the Sushant Singh case and the revelations of other accused, including Rhea Chakraborty. The report said that the Narcotics Bureau has compiled a list of a total of 25 actors, including Bollywood's most important personalities, who will soon be summoned to record statements.
In a statement to the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Riya Chakravarty revealed that 80 per cent of Bollywood celebrities use drugs.
