Protective arrangements for the possible risk of coronavirus in Gilgit
Gilgit: protective arrangements have been beginning in Gilgit-Baltistan in view of the possible threat of the Coronavirus.
According to news, sources said that a special committee headed by the secretary of the interior and secretary health was constituted. The committee also visited various government hospitals and health centres in Gilgit and Skardu.
Special wards have been set up in 2 hospitals in Gilgit, 2 in Baltistan, and security measures have been made due to spread the virus in neighbouring countries.
On the other hand, Pakistan has been alerted to the death of coronavirus in Iran and more than two dozen people confirmed the virus. Transit gates, transit and passport gates, including Taftan Border, has been also closed.
It may be recalled that recently days, Special Assistant for Health Dr. Zafar Mirza had said that the international health regulation has been implemented at the entry points. There has not been a case reported in the Coronavirus case in Pakistan yet, the Chief Minister Baluchistan himself is monitoring the coronavirus prevention measures.
It should be noted that the number of deaths has reached 2 thousand 698, worldwide because of deadly virus coding 19.
