PML-Q and PTI meet for future of coalition in Punjab and Federal
Gujarat: Senior leaders of both parties will meet in Islamabad today to discuss the union between the PML-Q and the ruling Tehreek-e-Insaf in the federal and Punjab.
PTI Defense Minister Pervaiz Khattak, senior leader Jahangir Tareen, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar and Arbab Shahzad will be part of the talks, while PML-Q delegation will be attended by Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, Member National Assembly Chaudhry Moonis Elahi, Chaudhry Salik Hussain.
Punjab Chief Secretary Azam Suleiman and Inspector General of Police Shoaib Dastagir will also attend the meeting.
After refusing to attend a federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday, it is said that the dependence of the PML-Q on being a coalition of PTI depends on the outcome of today's meeting.
The senior leader of the PML-Q said that his party's ministers and members of parliament are under pressure for their part in the administration and the promises made in relation to the development budget of the respective constituencies.
Representatives of the two coalition parties have already had two meetings in the last two weeks.
Muslim League (Q) Member National Assembly Moonis Elahi recently met Prime Minister Imran Khan in which he discussed the commitments made with the Q League.
Currently, only Tariq Cheema from the Muslim League (Q) is in the position of federal minister, while the PML-Q has repeatedly demanded that the ministry be given the federal ministry, but that promise has not yet been fulfilled.
