PESHAWAR: An uncle shot dead his youngest niece while making a fuss

In Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a man shot and killed his niece in a fit of rage during a game.

The 48-year-old suspect in the Tehkal area of Peshawar was angered by the noise of children playing outside the house, according to an April 22 FIR filed by the girl's father.

According to the complainant, the accused first fired a gun and then pulled out his pistol and opened fire on the children, injuring his niece.

The 7-year-old girl was rushed to hospital but died on the way.

Tehkal police station editor Shadab Javed told media that the accused was living on the second floor of the same building with the victim and was not married.

The accused is absconding and police are investigating the incident, he said.

He said that the FIR and the preliminary investigation of the police showed that the accused had opened fire on the noise of the children while the police were conducting further investigation into the incident.

When asked about the mental condition of the accused, he said that according to the family, the accused did not have any mental problem, while the preliminary investigation revealed that there was no dispute between the brothers.
