Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) temporarily suspended its flight operation to Qatar
Rawalpindi: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) temporarily suspended its flight operation to Qatar after the Qatar government banned the entry of passengers from different countries, including Pakistan, to prevent the Coronavirus outbreak.
According to the report, PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafeez said that the national airline cancelled its flight operations to and from Qatar by March 31.
In a statement, he said that the PIA was offering refunds and unpaid travel discounts to all customers who had booked tickets to travel to or from Qatar.
He said the PIA apologizes for the difficulties caused by the suspension of flights.
On February 28, Pakistan suspended operations for flights to and from Iran.
The move came after Pakistan confirmed the Coronavirus cases.
It should be noted that yesterday, Qatar announced that it had banned the entry of passengers from 14 countries, including Pakistan in those countries.
A statement issued by the Qatari Ministry of Health stated that "the decision includes visas, residential or work permits or temporary visits to those countries."
It should be remembered that the nasal coronavirus, which originated from China, has spread to most countries of the world and the number of people affected by it is increasing day by day.
In Pakistan too, the number of cases that came out last month was suddenly increased last day when 9 people were confirmed in a single day in Sindh.
With the increase of such cases on the same day in the country, the total number of cases has increased to 16.
