Muscat: Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq has issued a royal decree to set up a Supreme Committee headed by the Home Minister to curb the spread of the corona virus.
According to details, a statement has been issued by Oman's new Sultan Haitham bin Tariq stating that a Supreme Committee will be formed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country. which will have to work to find a suitable solution to eliminate against the virus.
The committee, headed by the Interior Minister, will review the progress made in the prevention and prevention of the virus, which will include senior officials.
According to the report of the Omani news agency, the royal decree states that this committee will be tasked with monitoring the progress of the virus and regional and international efforts to control it.
The Committee shall be obliged to follow the steps taken in this regard and formulate appropriate solutions, suggestions and recommendations in accordance with the Public Health.
According to the royal decree, this committee has the power to purchase any equipment and supplies needed to prevent this Corona virus.
It should be remembered that a few days ago, Oman banned the entry of residents of the virus-infected countries into the country to protect against the Corona virus, the ban being applied to all ports including land, sea and air.
