National Anti-Polio Campaign Success Rate has 100.3%: Report

ISLAMABAD: A national anti-polio campaign has been completed, the report said, adding that the success of the polio campaign was 100.3%.

According to News, the National Health Ministry has received a report of the results of the anti-polio campaign, the report states that the polio campaign has more than 100% successful, more than 124,000 children were given the polio vaccine in the campaign.

According to the report, the anti-polio campaign in Punjab achieved more than the target, the polio vaccination rate in the province was 102.4%, the polio vaccination rate in Sindh was 100.07%, and 63493 additional children were given the polio vaccine. The polio vaccination rate in Kashmir was 100.1%, the federal capital polio campaign rate was 99.8%, 699 children in Islamabad lost the polio vaccine.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the national anti-polio vaccination rate was 97.1%, with close to 200,000 children losing polio vaccine in KP, In Gilgit-Baltistan, the polio vaccination rate was 96.5%, while 7899 children were missing the vaccine; the total national anti-polio vaccination rate was 91% in Baluchistan, while 2 lakh 13 thousand children lost the polio vaccine.

Overall, 418,000 children missing the vaccination in the national anti-polio campaign.
