Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) officials to disclose the names of all government officials who have registered with the eligible and poor people in a financial assistance program. Get the benefits

According to the report, BISP officials presented a list of these officers to the Prime Minister, saying that "we cannot forgive the rights of the poor, the names of these robbers should be made public."

The Prime Minister, expressing his displeasure over the rules, ordered the names of these "corrupt officials" to be brought before the people and said, "Their punishment is to bring their names to the public."

Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that the government would not give any exemption to the officials who had called for the poor.

Remember that in June last year, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's government decided to re-survey the beneficiaries under the Social Protection Program because the last survey was done nine years ago People's finances may change.

At the end of December 2019, the government approved the removal of 8 million 20 thousand 165 people benefiting from the Nazir Income Support Program, disqualifying them from the database.

In this regard, it was revealed that out of the 8 million people who benefited from the program, more than 100,000 people were themselves or their spouses.

Out of a total of 8,205,655 persons excluded from the BISP, 14,730 were government employees or employees of the Railways, Postal Service, while the Income Support Program was not for civil servants.

According to the above data, one lakh 27 thousand 826 persons are those whose spouses are employed by the Government or the above departments.

The government subsequently announced disciplinary action against Grade 17 officers and officers taking advantage of the program.

According to official data, Sindh has the highest number of government officers receiving the Benazir Income Support Program, and 1,222 of Grade 17 or more officers were benefiting from the BISP. ۔

The second-largest number of government officers is from Balochistan, where 741 officers have registered themselves for the Poverty Alleviation Program.

Similarly, 403 KP officers and 137 Punjab officers received the Income Support Program.

The beneficiaries of the program include 62 federal government officers, one officer of Pakistan Railways, 22 from Azad Kashmir, 49 from Gilgit-Baltistan who have shown their worth.

Importantly, six officers of the Benazir Income Support Program were also among the beneficiaries of the program.
