Musharraf Treason Case

A special court hearing a serious treason case against former president-General Pervez Musharraf is expected to be heard in the Islamabad High Court today on whether the trial will be decided on November 28.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Athar Minullah, will hear the petition of the Pakistan government on Wednesday in which the Supreme Court of Pakistan has requested that the special court under its leadership be serious against Pervez Musharraf. Prevent the verdict in the treason case.

The court hearing the serious treason case announced last week that it will hear the verdict on November 28.
The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday started hearing the petition and on Wednesday issued an order to appear with the government and the record of the case.

According to Article Six 'High Treason' of the Pakistani constitution, serious treason, any person who suspends or abrogates the constitution will be declared a traitor and the punishment for this step is death or life imprisonment.
