Maryam Nawaz's name was added to the ECL for the second time

The federal cabinet has named the PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the second time in the External Control List (ECL) in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
After a meeting held on Tuesday, a member of the federal cabinet told that a sub-committee of the federal cabinet had proposed to put Maryam Nawaz's name in the ECL, which the cabinet approved.
Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau had also named the Vice President of the PML-N in the ECL in reference to Al-Azizia Steel Mills against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter-in-law Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Maryam, who filed anonymity with the ECL in court, said she wanted to go to London to prepare for her father's death.
The ECL's Cabinet subcommittee on December 28 rejected Maryam Nawaz's request and refused to allow him to go abroad.
