Karan Johar Stole Abrar-ul-haq's Famous Song 'nach Punjaban Nach'

Leading Indian filmmaker Karan Johar, following in the footsteps of other Indian musicians and singers, stole Pakistani singer Abrar-ul-Haq's song 'Nach Punjaban Nach' in his upcoming romantic comedy film. The trailer of Karan Johar's upcoming film 'JugJugg Jeeyo' was released a day ago, in which Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor along with Kiara Advani and Neto Singh were seen in the lead roles. The film is produced by Karan Johar and directed by Raj Mehta.

In the short trailer, the song 'Nach Punjaban Nach' is based on the old tune, which was released in 2002 by Pakistani Punjabi singer Abrar-ul-Haq. After the trailer of the Bollywood movie came out, Abrar-ul-Haq said in his tweets that he did not sell the rights of 'Nach Punjaban Nach' to anyone and whoever would include his song in any movie or album without permission. They have the right to take full legal action against them.

Mentioning Karan Johar and his production company Dharma in his tweet, he wrote that they should not use their songs without taking copyrights, 5 of their songs have already been copied.

Following Abrar-ul-Haq's tweet, the well-known music production company T-Series claimed in its tweet that it has acquired the copyrights of the song 'Nach Punjaban Nach'.

According to the T-series, the song 'Nach Punjaban Nach' was first released on iTunes on January 1, 2002, which was later released on a channel called 'Lollywood Wood Classic' owned by the YouTube channel 'One Movie Box' and Has acquired the copyrights of 'Nach Punjaban Nach' from the said company.

After the T-series claim, Abrar-ul-Haq made another tweet and clarified that he has never sold the copyrights of 'Nach Punjaban Nach' to anyone and if anyone makes such a claim, he will have to provide proof and the other is that They have full authority to take action against copyright infringers.

After the Pakistani singer's tweet, a company called 'One Movie Box' also tweeted and claimed that Karan Johar got the copyrights of the song from him and that Abrar-ul-Haq's claim is baseless.

However, One Movie Box did not specify where the copyrights of 'Nach Punjaban Nach' came from. Because the song was released by Abrar-ul-Haq in 2002 under the same name in his music album, which was later filmed in the Pakistani film 'Kun Banega Crorepati' starring Babar Ali, Muammar Rana and actress Noor.
