Quetta: Jordanian Princess Sarah Zaid visited Quetta and met with Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Iliani.
She is visiting Pakistan as a UN Advisor on the World Food Program for Mothers and Children's Health and Nutrition. During the meeting with the Chief Minister Balochistan, the princess discussed nutrition, health, vaccination and strength immunity of mothers and children.
To which the Chief Minister Balochistan told them, "We give health and education a top priority."
The Chief Minister apprised Princess Sara Zaid of the anti-polio campaign and vaccination program for the elimination of diseases in the province by the Balochistan government. On the occasion, Princess Sarah Zayed praised the steps taken by the provincial government regarding the health of mothers and children.
It is important to note that severe nutritional deficiencies and food insecurity are the major challenges that women and children of Pakistan face. The meeting was also attended by Balochistan Provincial Health Minister Mir Naseebullah Murree, Parliamentary Secretary Bushra Rand and WFP Country Director Fanbar Kiran.
It is to be noted that this is the third visit of Pakistan to foreign royal family figures in a period of 2 months. Earlier, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton visited Pakistan for the first time on a five-day visit last month, following which the Queen of the Netherlands recently visited Pakistan.
It is to be noted that Queen Netherlands also came to Pakistan on a 3-day visit as the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate Finance for Development.
