Islamabad: the joint Declaration of Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to Malaysia has been issued. Both countries will increase economic cooperation and high-level contacts in the traditional and non-traditional sectors.
According to details, a joint declaration of Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to Malaysia has been issued. The decision has been taken to convene a meeting of the Joint Committee on Defense sector in Rawalpindi.
According to the Declaration, both the countries will act as gateways for trade promotion, both countries will cooperate with each other in the heavy industries and provide institutional services in the halal food business while Pakistan and Malaysia will also cooperate in tourism sectors.
The Declaration said that ongoing cooperation in the education sector between both countries will be expanded. They both agreed to promote cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, natural resources, aerospace and aeronautical in the fields of digital technology, AI and e-commerce. Cooperation will be enhanced in both countries, while both will continue parliamentary diplomacy. Malaysian Parliament Speaker will visit Pakistan in October with a delegation.
According to a joint declaration, it has also been decided to start direct PIA flights from Lahore to Kuala Lumpur. Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit was to strengthen strategic relations. The leaders of both countries had positive and fruitful discussions on the level of dialogue and delegation. Both countries also agreed to enhance the high level of connectivity and cooperation in all fields.
The Declaration said that both countries will enhance economic cooperation in the traditional and non-traditional sectors and further strengthen the trade and investment relations. It was also decided to convene a fourth joint commission meeting in Islamabad during the visit. The Commission is already set up to support the economic, scientific and technical fields.
During his visit, Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated Mahathir Muhammad on the successful holding of the Kuala Lumpur Summit, Mahathir praised Imran Khan's efforts for peace in the region. Imran Khan also praised Malaysia's cooperation in preventing money laundering.
On the other hand, the Malaysian Prime Minister hailed the move to open Kartarpur transit. Both leaders agreed on a joint effort to protect the rights of Muslim minorities around the world and further promotion of cooperation against Islamophobia.
According to the Declaration, Prime Minister Imran Khan also invited Mahathir Muhammad to visit Pakistan, Mahathir Muhammad accepted the invitation of prime minister Imran Khan to visit Pakistan. Tour dates will be announced later.
