Iranian missile attacks injure 11 troops, US confirms

The US Central Command has revealed that 11 US troops were wounded and no casualties were reported in the missile strikes on Iraq's US military bases last week.

It is to be remembered that in retaliation for the assassination of General Qasim Sulaimani, Iran launched missile attacks on US military bases in Iraq and claimed 80 US soldiers had been killed by Iran.

The claim was denied by the United States, and the US Central Command has now confirmed that only 11 US troops were injured in the attack.

According to French news agency AFP, US Central Command spokesman Capt. Bill Urban said in a statement that no American troops were killed in the Iranian attack on Assad's airbase January 8, but blasts showed signs of anaesthesia. Many soldiers were treated at the scene and are still being examined.

At the time of the attack, most of the 1,500 US troops stationed at Airbus were rushed to a bunker when high-ranking officials received premature notification of the attack.
