Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to visit Saudi Arabia, Iran and the US in view of the tense situation between the US and Iran.
Imran Khan tweeted on social networking site, "I have directed Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to meet with the Foreign Ministers of Riyadh, Tehran and Washington."
He added in his tweet that 'Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has also been instructed to meet with the military leaders of these countries'.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the Foreign Minister and Army Chief would send a clear message to these countries that “Pakistan is ready to play its role for peace, but Islamabad cannot be part of any war.
It should be noted that in the US drone strike last week, General Qasim Sulaimani, the head of Iran's Quds Force, was killed after Tehran threatened the United States with dire consequences.
