Prime Minister Imran Khan has canceled his visit to Malaysia and will not attend the three-day summit in Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia's Prime Minister House has confirmed the cancellation of Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to Malaysia and not attending the Kuala Lumpur summit.

The statement said that Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammed received a call from Imran Khan yesterday (December 16th) in which he expressed his inability to attend the Kuala Lumpur Summit.

The statement from the Malaysian Prime Minister's Office further said that Dr Mahathir Muhammad appreciated Imran Khan's move to inform him not to attend the meeting where the problems and current conditions faced by the Prime Minister of Pakistan at the Kuala Lumpur Summit. In this regard.

The statement further said that Dr Mahathir Mohammed also corrected the false news published in the Pakistani journal 'Pakistan Today' which stated in a statement attributed to the Malaysian Prime Minister that the Kuala Lumpur Summit was aimed at the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC). Is to provide an alternative platform instead.

Sources earlier told Dawn News that Prime Minister Imran Khan will not attend the scheduled conference from December 18 to 20, while Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will not attend the meeting and will be replaced by a government representative at the conference. Will be sent for participation.

The conference was also invited to host Malaysia, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Qatar and the heads of state of Indonesia.

Remember that Indonesian President Joko Widodo also apologized for participating.

The conference, which begins on December 18, will include Muslim leaders, intellectuals, scholars and thinkers from 52 countries, while a meeting of heads of states will be held on December 19, in which they will try to solve the problems facing Muslim Ummah and Islamic countries.

It is believed that the meeting was proposed by Prime Minister Imran Khan during a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo-an at a UN meeting in September this year.

On Sunday, Assistant Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said any decision regarding Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to Malaysia would be made in the national interest.

He had said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will make the final decision on attending the Kuala Lumpur Conference on his return from Switzerland and media will be informed in this regard.

According to sources, Pakistan canceled the decision to attend the meeting, keeping in view the concerns of Saudi Arabia regarding Kuala Lumpur direction.
