Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas passed away at the age of 103
Famous Hollywood actor Kirk Douglas passed away at the age of 103 after six decades in the cinema industry.
Kirk Douglas was the father of Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas.
In a statement to the British Broadcasting BBC, Michael Douglas shared with fans the news of his father's death.
In his statement, he said, "My brother and I are very sad to announce that Kirk Douglas has left us today."
He added that "for the world, he was a legend and a movie star of the golden era, but for me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was just a father".
Kirk Douglas has been a great performer both on screen and on stage in his career.
Born in New York in 1916 to Kirk Douglas, he rose to fame in the golden era of Hollywood.
