Great news for those submitting Hajj applications
KARACHI: Receiving of Hajj applications has begun for the year 2020; forms can be submitted to 13 banks by March 6 while Hajj forms can be received on Saturday and Sunday.
According to the details, receiving of application and liabilities have been started from those wishing to attend Hajj 2020.
To facilitate the filing of the liabilities with application forms, the State Bank has directed 13 accredited banks to keep it open all their designated branches across the country from 10 am to 2:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday (February 29 and March 1).
The State Bank has said that according to Hajj Policy 2020, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has allowed 13 banks to receive application along with liabilities from all over the country, from February 25 to March 06, from individuals wishing to participate in Haj 2020.
Remember that the Ministry of Religious Affairs had announced a new date for the receiving of the Hajj applications and was told that all the authorized banks were notified, due to the disapproval of a key point from the cabinet, which was postponed on the first date, Hajj forms will also be received on Saturday and Sunday.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs said that the Hajj application form has been simplified, the affidavit has not been removed from the Hajj application form, there is an affidavit on the forms where the applicant will sign.
Earlier, the Ministry of Religious Affairs had barred all banks from receiving the Hajj applications from February 24, in this regard the circular issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs had said that all relevant banks should wait for further instructions from the ministry.
The circular stated that all banks should not receive any pilgrimage application or money from February 24 as per the order of the ministry, the final date for receiving and submission of applications by the ministry will be announced later.
It is understood that the Ministry of Religious Affairs issued a policy yesterday for carrying newborns on pilgrimage. Under the new policy, it will apply to children born after September 5, 2018. The newborn baby package also doubled in the last 3 years.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs says the travel fare for newborns will be 10% of the total rent.
