Government's Big agreement With Malaysia for Overseas Pakistanis
ISLAMABAD: Overseas Pakistanis have come up with another hard work of government, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Social Security Malaysia has reached a significant agreement.
According to News, a signed agreement has been reached between the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Malaysian Social Security. Pakistani high commissioner Amna Baloch and CEO Malaysian social security have signed the agreement. This ceremony was held in the social security headquarters of Malaysia.
According to the Overseas Ministry, registration of Pakistani workers in Malaysian Social Security has begun. Now Malaysian employers will give the information of Pakistani workers to Malaysian Social Security. In case of an accident, Pakistani workers will get free medical aid while in case of death the family will receive a monthly stipend for a lifetime.
The Overseas Ministry says that 15,000 Pakistanis work in Malaysia annually, 82,000 Pakistanis working in Malaysia will benefit from this important agreement. The CEO of Social Security Malaysia said that Pakistan’s seriousness on welfare of the workers in Malaysia is appreciable.
Special Assistant Overseas Pakistanis, Zulfi Bukhari praised the deal and said that the protection and welfare of overseas Pakistanis is the top priority of the government. It is to be noted that in the Prime Minister's visit to Malaysia was signed on the Memorandum of Understanding.
