According to sources, thousands of people have lost their jobs in Punjab due to the corona virus and unemployed people will be provided employment through Toyota.
On the other hand, Corona will be a historic loss to the economy of Punjab, the government report was prepared. The Punjab government has been estimated to have lost up to Rs 18 trillion due to Corona. Due to Corona, Punjab's GDP is also expected to fall by 9%, further down to 1% every month.
According to sources, 3 to 4 million jobs in Punjab are expected to be lost immediately. If Corona is not controlled in time, another 4.7 million jobs will be lost. The poverty line in Punjab will increase from 23% of the population to 33%. The middle class of 19% of the population of Punjab will also reach the poverty line. If Corona is not controlled in time, 58% of the population of Punjab will reach the poverty line.
There are currently 4590 corona patients in Punjab. A total of 56 deaths have been reported in Punjab so far due to the corona virus while 790 people have recovered. The condition of 17 patients is critical.
