She said that the cabinet meeting gave a detailed briefing to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said, "Relief package has been approved for stabilization of prices which will provide 2 billion monthly subsidies to Utility Stores Corporation for the next five months."
He said subsidy will be provided on wheat, sugar, rice, pulses and wheat prices.
Assistant Special Information and Broadcasting said that 20 kg flour bag will be available at Rs 800, sugar Rs 70 per kg, Ghee Rs 175 per kg.
"The prices of rice and pulses will be reduced by Rs 15-20," she added.
Firdous Ashiq Awan claimed that the relief package would break the backbone of profiteers and reservists.
She said that 'an "Ehsah Kafalat program" has been set up and in the first phase, 2,000 Youth Stores are being opened in partnership with Utility Stores Corporation.'
According to the auxiliary special, 'Youth stores will be opened under a "Kamyab Jawan program" and they will be given free loans for the stores'.
"Utility stores will supply goods to oysters and dams across the country at a controlled rate," she said.
In addition, she said that 12 cash and carry stores are being set up.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said that five free zones will be set up in Afghan border areas and ration cards will be issued before Ramadan.
"The import ban has been lifted to keep the sugar prices stable and a restriction has been put in place to eliminate the regulatory duty on the price of sugar and taxes on import of pulses are being reviewed," she said.
In addition, she said that under the "Ehsas Kafalat Program", 43 lakh women will be given Rs 2,000 per month and the Ehsas Kafalat Program is being implemented on February 21.
The Assistant Special said that 20,000 women will benefit from the Ehsas Kafalat Program and only 100 Free Food Houses will be opened this year under the Ehsas Kafalat Program.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the investigation report on the wheat crisis was returned with additional questions during the cabinet meeting. She directed to submit a comprehensive investigation report again in 3 weeks
