Every Pakistani stuck in Wuhan should be given special care: Prime Minister's direction
ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistani Zulfi Bukhari met with Prime Minister Imran Khan on the issue of Pakistanis trapped in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
According to details, Zulfi Bukhari, the Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistani, met with Prime Minister Imran Khan on the issue of caring for Pakistanis stuck in China after the Coronavirus. Advisor Health Dr Zafar Mirza and Foreign Secretary were also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, important issues regarding the health of Pakistanis in China were discussed and special discussions were held regarding the safety of Pakistani students in Chinese universities.
Providing food and other facilities to Pakistanis in the Chinese city of Wuhan was also reviewed. Special assistant Zulfi Bukhari informed the Prime Minister of the complete situation.
Zulfi Bukhari said we have been working with the Chinese government to protect citizens, believing that China would successfully cope with the challenge of the coronavirus.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the concern of the security of the compatriots in China is that every Pakistani citizen, including students, should be given special care. He directed that the Foreign Office and Foreign Missions be in constant contact with their compatriots.
The Prime Minister also expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the Ministry of Overseas. During the meeting, the Prime Minister was also briefed on the steps taken by the Chinese Ambassador.
Zulfi Bukhari had also met the Chinese ambassador on the same issue yesterday. He said that until the return of Pakistanis presents in China, all the countrymen should be taken special care and in the special cases, the Chinese government should cooperate especially.
Chinese Ambassador Yao Zhang said that in China we are improving the care of Pakistanis and will keep track of all developments momentarily.
