LAHORE: Despite the growing threat of the Coronavirus, a five-day publicity rally has begun at Raiwind Tablighi Center.
The gathering invited 3 members of the category to join the mission for 3 days, 40 days or 4 months.
The Raiwind Tablighi Ijtema began on Wednesday, with the concluding prayer in the Fajr prayer on Sunday morning.
At the gathering, Maulana Ahmed Litti and Maulana Ibrahim Diwala from neighbouring countries, along with various scholars in the country, will address the gathering of thousands of people.
On the other hand, the Punjab government officials said that several requests to be adjourned by the organizers were rejected by the organizers in view of the threat of the spread of the Coronavirus.
It should be noted that the presence of participants from Sindh and Punjab at the gathering of provincial authorities had raised concerns about the spread of the Coronavirus.
In this regard, Secretary Mohammad Usman said that as a precautionary measure, his department has set up an isolation ward consisting of 5 beds with all the necessary facilities at Tablighi Center.
In addition, the Raiwind Hospital administration has been alerted to allocate more beds in case the virus spreads to people.
According to him, all eligible staff have been deployed, while participants are advised to take precautionary measures, such as cleansing, cleansing hands and receiving immediate medical attention on suspicion of coronavirus, through advertising.
