Critical criticism of PPP on government over TTP leader's 'escape'

ISLAMABAD: Members of the opposition Peoples Party (PPP) and tribal districts from the government on the alleged 'mysterious escape' of former banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan Explanation requested.

The Member Assembly demanded that the matter be brought before the Parliamentary Committee for investigation.

The matter was raised by Member of Parliament Mohsen Dawar while talking to the National Assembly in question, PPP Syed Naveed Qamar questioned the government's silence on the issue.

There were only a few ministers who preferred to remain silent when the matter was raised by the two members of the opposition assembly.

Later, when the meeting was held after the break of the West, PTI MP Imran Khattak was led by the Speaker as both the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker were not present in the House.

Syed Naveed Qamar asked, 'How can you hold back the case of Ehsanullah Ehsan's escape? He asked the government to tell the nation whether he was released under the deal or he escaped the hands of security agencies.

Syed Naveed Qamar asked, "If there is any deal with the US, let us know."

The PPP member assembly reminded that the government had promoted the detention in which it claimed to have arrested the 'global offender'.

The Leader of the People's Party asked, "If the question was asked at the FATF meeting, what would be your answer?" What kind of state are we running? '

During the conversation, Syed Naveed Qamar termed the issue as serious and said that if Ihsanullah Ehsan could escape from the 'high-level security complex' then it would have exposed the 'level of risk'.

They asked, "What is safe in the country?" At the same time, the head of the House demanded that a special committee be constituted for this or the matter should be referred to the relevant committee as it is the parliament's privilege to know the facts.

He also suggested that the in-camera meeting of the committee be taken into account, given the sensitivity of the matter.

Syed Naveed Qamar said, "The sanctity of the House requires that Parliament not be bypassed but taken in confidence".

Earlier, Member of Parliament Mohsen Dawar raised 3 questions to the government regarding the TTP member's escape.

Mohsin Dawar expressed regret that the matter came up a few days ago but no explanation was given by the government.

He said, “In which case, Ehsanullah Ehsan was arrested? In what court was it presented? And what prison was imprisoned?

Imran Khattak, who headed the meeting on behalf of the Assembly to send the matter to the parliamentary committee, said he would take a decision on it only after a response from the government.

In addition, PPP MP Abdul Qadir Patel did not get permission to give a speech in the House. ۔
