Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announces closure of all educational institutions for 15 days to protect against Coronavirus
A provincial cabinet meeting was held in Peshawar in which provincial ministers were briefed on the virus.
In this regard, the provincial finance minister Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra said that the board exams have been postponed.
The provincial minister said that all public and private hostels would also be closed.
Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra said public accounts including seminars, culture, and other events were postponed.
In addition, Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra said, "The less public communications, the less likely it is to spread the virus."
He claimed that no case has yet been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but all emergency arrangements at the hospital are being completed on a daily basis.
In addition, provincial finance minister Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra said no case has been reported in KP so far.
Addressing the media, he said, "They should make the announcement of the government's stand or administration a part of their news."
The provincial minister said that task force officials are seeking suggestions from the domestic and international experts not only to deal with the coronavirus.
He said the district administration will try to convince the organizers of the private event that the event is currently suspended.
Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra said the Coronavirus has spread to other countries' prisons as well, which has prevented meetings with prisoners in all prisons in the province.
