Chief Minister Punjab's major initiative to eradicate polio
LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar approved the run of anti-polio vaccine campaign in 2020 and said that I will not tolerate any shortages or failures in the campaign and I will review the measures for anti-polio every month.
According to details, a meeting of the Provincial Task Force for Anti-polio, chaired by the Chief Minister, Usman Buzdar, in which the Punjab government decided to take effective measures for anti-polio and in 2020 approved to run the anti-polio vaccine every month.
Chief Minister Punjab said that anti-polio campaign will be launched in 36 districts of Punjab from February 17, in which 2 crore children will be provided with anti-polio vaccine drops.
Usman Buzdar directed that special attention should be given to the high-risk districts and 100% implementation of the anti-polio plan to the Department of Health, District Administration.
He said that the participation of elected representatives, in the anti-polio campaign is essential.It is alarming of polio cases in different district of Punjab.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Commissioners of some districts for not having regular meetings and said that the response of the Deputy Commissioners who did not hold regular meetings would be summoned, I will review myself every month for anti-polio measures.
