Be careful! Chance of heavy rain from tomorrow to Saturday
KARACHI: Meteorological department predicted rains in the country with thunderstorms during the week and said that strong winds are likely to blow in some places.
According to details, the meteorological department said that the western winds will enter the country on Thursday evening, with heavy rains likely fall in the country from Thursday to Saturday.
According to the Meteorological Department, thundershowers are also expected with rain in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum and Sargodha. Meanwhile, clouds will be blow accompanied by strong winds in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujarat and Sialkot.
Rain is expected over the mountains with thunderstorms in Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the week from Thursday to Saturday, while dry weather is expected in Sindh province, but winds are expected in Sukkur, Jacobabad and Larkana.
On the other hand, PDMA has issued an alert that there is a chance of stormy rains in the country from tomorrow, to Saturday stormy winds and torrential rains will enter Punjab tomorrow, which is expected to cause heavy rains and thunderstorms in most of Punjab including Lahore and Rawalpindi. While DG Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur and southern Punjab are likely to receive thunderstorms and rains.
The PDMA in a letter to the Deputy Commissioners urged that all district administration of Punjab should take protective measures.
On the other hand, the weather will be dry in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. However, with strong winds/thunderstorms in some parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northern Baluchistan and Gilgit-Baltistan, there is a possibility of rain and snow on the mountains.
