Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says the US-Taliban agreement states that prisoners will be exchanged, President Ashraf Ghani should ask the United States to explain the deal.

It is understood that an agreement was signed between the Afghan Taliban and the United States for peace in Afghanistan in Doha, Qatar, February 29. Under the agreement, inter-Afghan talks will begin from March 10, but the Afghan government has previously approved the Taliban. K5,000, and 1,000 Afghan government prisoners will be released by the Taliban, but the Afghan president rejected the release of prisoners.

In his statement, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, "Afghan leadership now has a responsibility to create a conducive environment with which dialogue will grow."

"What happened in Doha was the first step. Now the next step is intra-Afghan talks, both sides must move forward to build their confidence," he said.

The Foreign Minister suggested to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani that he should move forward with interests in mind and that the Taliban should also be frank.

He said, "This process is not easy but if it is not successful, the loss will be to the people of Afghanistan and Afghanistan".

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that 20 years of war has not been achieved, war is no way, now the parties will have to make room for each other.

He said it was a test of Afghan leadership, a test of all the factions out there whether they move forward or demonstrate the same narrow ideology that they have been doing before.

He said, "Pakistan wishes to improve matters, we want peace and stability in Afghanistan, and for that, we played the role that was played and the world appreciated it."

The foreign minister said that it is the job of Afghans to take the next step in this agreement, and Pakistan will support the steps that Afghans will take to move forward.

He said that 'Pakistan can create a favourable environment and not make their decisions'.

He said the US-Taliban agreement states that prisoners will be exchanged. President Ashraf Ghani should ask the US to explain the deal.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, "According to my knowledge, Zalmay Khalilzad has been aware of Afghan leadership in the negotiations. In the past, prisoners have also been exchanged. As they move from war to peace, they are welcomed. have to do it'.

He said the release of prisoners would not be one-sided.

"If we have to work with a big hit, the talk will not go up, this is a logical step that should be taken," he said.

The foreign minister added that "attitudes have to be corrected with the treaties; the obstacles were there before. Now the perfection of political leadership is to make them inefficient."
