A review of prices in the Prime Minister's Presidential Meeting
Prime Minister Imran Khan called for a meeting to review prices of food items like flour, rice, ghee, sugar, pulses and vegetables.
The meeting reviewed the progress made on the application of 'correct price' use in major cities of all the provinces and the action against those who were involved in mixing food items.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Dr Kazim Niaz told the meeting that the right price application would be launched in the first week of January in 3 cities of Peshawar, Mardan and Abbottabad.
Similarly, Chief Secretary of Punjab (R) Azam Sulaiman also informed the Prime Minister that a price application has already been launched in Rawalpindi. So far 6 lakh residents have downloaded it.
Also, the Sindh Chief Secretary and Industries Secretary of Balochistan also informed the meeting that measures have been taken to check the mixing of food items.
Later, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed all the provincial government to take sufficient management action to control the increase in prices of food items and to ensure the possible efforts to prevent food intake by using modern technology.
