Rahim Yar Khan: The administration of Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital (SZMCH) handed over the bodies of 40 persons killed in the Tezgam Express fire incident to their families.

According to the report, the bodies were handed over to the heritage after receiving a DNA report from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA).

Rana Elias, the focal person at the hospital, said that the PFSA team had set up camp at the hospital on November 3, carrying DNA samples from the legacy of the 57 passengers killed and returning to Lahore.

He further said that after receiving 40 reports of DNA, the coffins were handed over to the heritage.

He said that out of the 40 passengers, 26 belonged to Mirpurkhas, 4 to Karachi, 3 to Omar Kot and Shikarpur, 3 to Sanghar and two to Tando Allahyar and Lodhran.

The district administration provided free ambulance service for transfer of dead bodies to the area, under the direction of railway police officials and Rahim Yar Khan's assistant commissioner, the Focal Press said.

On the other hand, the majority of heritage ministers have been asking about the payment method announced by Railway Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed but authorities have no clear answer.
