Apologies of female journalist for tweeting against Ali Zafar on allegations of harassment

Mehwish Ajaz, a blogger and social media activist who tweets against Ali Zafar, has apologized to the singer after she was accused of sexual harassment by Meesha Shafi.

Mehwish Ajaz is one of Pakistan's social media activists, bloggers and activists calling for women's rights.

He made several tweets against Ali Zafar after singer and actress Meesha Shafi accused Ali Zafar of sexual harassment in April 2018.

Mehwish Ajaz also wrote blogs about the case of Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar in which he mentioned the two sides, but his sympathies were with Meesha Shafi.


Mehwish Ajaz also tweeted against expressing his views in boycotting Ali Zafar's film 'Taifa in Trouble' and nominating him in an award.

However, he has now apologized to singer Ali Zafar and his family, announcing the withdrawal of all their tweets.

Mehwish Ejaz apologized to him and his family, explaining on tweets made against Ali Zafar through a series of tweets on February 18.

Initially, Mehwish Ajaz tweeted, "They apologize for hurting Ali Zafar and his family, as their problems only increased after some incidents came to light."

He did not specify why he was apologizing to Ali Zafar and his family for specific reasons but did mention in his tweets the case being heard in the court of Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi.


Mehwish Ajaz wrote that because the case of Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi is still being heard in court and the results are coming soon, then people will know why they did it.

In another of his tweets, Mehwish Ajaz also spoke about the mobsters in the aforementioned case and said that he was disappointed with some of the people present in the case but did not explain the disappointment.

In his same tweet, Mehwish Ajaz announced that he was withdrawing all the allegations levelled against Ali Zafar.

After the apologetic tweets from the well-known blogger, many criticized him, while many bravely acknowledged his apology and mistake.

Some accused Mehwish Ajaz of making allegations against Ali Zafar for money, after which he made another long descriptive tweet, saying that he never tweeted for money.

In his descriptive tweet, he wrote, "He never took any money for tweets from anyone, nor does he do it for money, but he does it all because of his thinking and the evidence that he has at present.

In her defining tweet, she wrote, "She is not a court, not a judge and jury, she is not an authority to decide who is guilty, so she is not going to make a decision in relation to anyone."

Mehwish Ajaz writes that she writes what she thinks good after seeing the information and events she has received, but the information she receives may be incomplete and if the courts find anyone innocent, she will be the first person Will admit your mistake.

He stopped people from criticizing himself in a long tweet, saying that at least they should not be considered 'nonsense' for money, because they never did.

People also criticized Mehwish Ajaz's explanatory tweet and said that all had to think first, but some praised him and said he realized his mistake.
