According to the Arab media report, Al-amarat al-yom issued a report published by the World Bank, highlighting the negative effects of obesity on health and the economy.
the report said, Kuwait has the highest number of obese women in Arab countries. Here the proportion of such women is 77%. The report said that Qatar is the second-largest country with 75 percent of obesity victim women.
The report noted that the increase in obesity rates among women was recorded in Arab countries, which means that women there are suffering from infectious diseases.
The report said Iraq was ranked 10th in Arab countries, with 70 percent of obese women. Likewise, Bahrain finished ninth, Lebanon 8th, Egypt seventh, Gaza Strip and Western Jordan sixth, Libya fifth.
Saudi Arabia ranks fourth in this list, with obese women at 73.7%. Similarly, Jordan is ranked third, with 74.2% of women being obese.
