Actress Zara Noor Abbas says that women in Pakistan face gender discrimination not only in social media but also in the showbiz industry.

In a recent interview with Fuchsia Magazine, Zara Noor Abbas spoke openly about the discrimination against women in Pakistani society and said that she felt that more questions were asked of women in general.

Talking about his past experience of painting, he said that he painted a woman at a time when he felt that women were asked more questions at home than men and doubted their role.

According to the actress, not only her words but also the statements and thoughts of every woman in Pakistani society are examined from different angles and more questions are asked about what women say.

According to Zara Noor Abbas, women are asked a lot of frivolous questions like when, who, why, when, with whom and what, while men are not asked such questions.

He gave the example that if a male actor arrives late or does not do a good job during the shooting of a play, then all the men in the team will become his friends and companions, but if an actress comes a little late, Complaints will be lodged.

He admitted that it is true that male team members are better friends than men while female members become better friends with actresses but actors cannot be friends with everyone, so they are discriminated against. 

Referring to the problems of the showbiz industry, he said that in the Pakistani showbiz industry, even the basic necessities are not available to the actors yet.
