He recounted an incident in a play in which when he was talking to the director about himself and heroin, he suggested the name of a heroine to the director, but the director rejected the name of the actress. He further explained that as a child he used to dance to Sindhi and Balochi folk songs and participate in every function but no one had ever told him that dancing was not our culture. Osman Khalid Butt added that now we have started using religion as a tool by linking religion with culture and especially we are using religion against women and actors. In response to another question, the actor said that although dramas and films have been made on many social issues, we are still not solving the problems and we are not able to move towards improvement in this regard.
Osman Khalid Butt added in the interview that apart from acting, he also directs theater plays including choreography and poetry and he does it whenever he gets a chance to do something.
