What is a 'Bois Locker Room'?

The 'Bois Locker Room' is actually the name of a chat group created by 2 dozen boys on the social sharing application Instagram, the screenshot of which first caused a stir on Indian social media on May 3.

The "Bois Locker Room" chat group consisted of 20 boys up to the age of 18 and included sentences on their physical characteristics, including sharing photos of women, students and young girls in the group.

The chat involved students from a school in Noida, including three high and expensive private schools in South Delhi, and most of them are between 15 and 18 years old.

However, it was not clear how many people in the group are over 18 years old.

In the group, the boys shared pictures of other women and young girls, including their school girls, and then the boys continued to sexually abuse them.

After the photo of the girl was shared, members of the chat called 'Bois Locker Room' would talk about her physical features and talk about other forms of sexual exploitation, including inciting each other to gang-rape the girl.

A screenshot of the chat group was first shared by a woman on May 3, alleging that a woman had been gang-raped by boys.

In the next screenshot, it is clear that the members are telling each other that they will easily gang rape the woman.

However, a police investigation has now revealed that the screenshot was in fact a fake SnapChat account created by a girl in Siddharth's name, which she sent to a friend. Someone shared this message in the Bois Locker Room.

After the screenshot went viral on social media, Delhi Police arrested two members of the Boys Lockroom on May 6.

But as the investigation progressed, new controversies and shocking information surfaced, and a few days ago, police also caught a chat group called Bois Locker Room-style Girls Locker Room.

What is a girls' locker room?

After the trend of 'Bois Locker Room' remained top on Indian social media last week, soon the trend of 'Girls Locker Room' also came to the fore.

The Girls 'Locker Room, like the Bois Locker Room, is an Instagram chat group created by girls from various schools and colleges.

According to Indian TV India, most of the girls in the locker room are feminist girls and their ages are said to be 15 to 18 years or a maximum of 20 years.

The group, like the Bois Locker Room, has been the subject of inappropriate and sexually explicit material.

After May 8, screen shots of the 'Girls Locker Room' chat group also went viral on Indian social media.

In the messages that went viral, girls could read inappropriate things about boys' physical features.
