'The Legend of Maula Jatt' delayed in India

Blockbuster releasing a Pakistani Punjabi film in neighbouring India has been postponed again for mysterious reasons.

The Legend of Maula Jatt, released on October 13 in all countries, including Pakistan, has amassed a global box office total of 250 crores, making it the first Punjabi and Pakistani film to break a record.

Surprisingly, 'The Legend of Maula Jatt' was shown on more cinema screens in foreign countries than in Pakistan.

The Legend of Maula Jatt will reportedly be released in India, according to reports in the Indian media at the beginning of December, even though the movie's production team has not officially confirmed this.

According to insiders at Zee Studio, the Pakistani movie was supposed to be released in India on December 30. However, this didn't happen, and now it's been revealed that the release date has been postponed.

According to a claim by the Indian publication "Indian Express," which cited Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) sources, the Film Censor Board did not provide a licence for the Pakistani movie.

According to the report, any foreign movie must obtain a certificate from the Film Censor Board before being released in India, but the Pakistani film did not get the certificate.

Regarding the screening of the Pakistani film in India, a cinema group confirmed that they were informed by the film distribution company 'Zee Studio' about the postponement of the film's screening.

Cinema Group claims that despite being informed that "The Legend of Maula Jatt" has been delayed, they have not yet been offered a new release date.

On the other side, neither the Indian Film Censor Board nor "Zee Studio" has made any explicit statements about delaying the screening of the Pakistani movie.

After the news of the release of 'The Legend of Maula Jatt' in India, Hindu extremists threatened that the Pakistani film would not be released.

It is believed that the Indian Film Censor Board will not issue the permission certificate for the Pakistani film, but it is too early to say anything in this regard.
