Sushant Singh's Father Filed Lawsuit Against Son's Girlfriend

The father of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who committed suicide on June 14 last month, has filed a case against his son's ex-girlfriend actress Riya Chakraborty at the police station. According to the Hindustan Times, Sushant Singh Rajput's father, retired government official KK Singh, has registered a case under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna, Bihar.

Sushant Singh's father has named not only his son's ex-girlfriend Riya Chakraborty but also his family in the First Information Report (FIR). The actress and her family have been charged under the provisions of blackmail, rape, and other offenses, but the FIR did not include murder. In the FIR, Sushant Singh's father leveled serious allegations against Riya Chakraborty, claiming that the actress controlled his son and kept him away from his parents.

The actor's father claimed that Riya Chakraborty kept blackmailing his late son and even looking at his bank account. The FIR alleged that Riya Chakraborty also stole valuables belonging to Sushant Singh Rajput, including cash, gold, laptops, credit cards, and medical reports. The FIR also mentioned that Sushant Singh Rajput suspected that Riya Chakraborty would defame him by publishing medical reports about his depression in the media.

According to the FIR, on June 8, six days before Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, when Riya Chakraborty saw that there was no money in the actor's bank account, he stole the late actor's credit cards, gold, and even a laptop. A case filed with the police has claimed that after the suicide of his former manager a few days before Sushant Singh's suicide, the actor felt that Riya Chakraborty would accuse him of killing the former manager.

The FIR claims that lakhs of rupees were transferred from Sushant Singh Rajput's bank account to other accounts and Riya Chakraborty also severed ties with his family and forced him to live alone. It may be recalled that after the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, Riya Chakraborty was heavily criticized on social media and was also held somewhat responsible for the actor's suicide.

Riya Chakraborty had also recorded a statement on June 18 to the Mumbai police investigating the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, in which he confessed to having links with Sushant Singh Rajput.

Later, there were reports in the media that after his relationship with Riya Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput's depression increased and he began to suffer from mental stress.

The rumors escalated when Riya Chakraborty's hilarious photos with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt went viral in early July.
