Singer Ustad Fida Hussain was laid to rest in lahore
Traditional musician, ghazal singer, and Punjabi singer Ustad Fida Hussain was buried May 2 in his hometown Lahore cemetery in the presence of very few people.
Ustad Fida Hussain died at the hospital on May 1. He was shifted to the hospital after several medical complaints.
In the last days of his life, he contracted other ailments, including heart disease, and had been very ill for a few weeks.
Ustad Fida Hussain was taken to hospital after his condition worsened, but he died during treatment on May 1 and was buried on May 2.
Ustad Fida Hussain's funeral prayers were offered at Rehman Garden Phase 2, which was attended by his close relatives and very special friends.
Ustad Fida Hussain was a student of renowned ghazal singer Ustad Ghulam Ali and he started singing from Radio Pakistan at an early age.
Ustad Fida Hussain also sang for Radio Pakistan Lahore and Pakistan Television (PTV) Lahore and gave a total of 50 years to music.
Giving 50 years of his life to music, Ustad Fida Hussain was disappointed that his services were not recognized by the government in the last years of his life.
And he said in an interview that he wanted his services to be recognized.
Ustad Fida Hussain had said in an interview that he did not want any concessions or financial support from the government but he wanted the government to acknowledge his services in the field of music.
Ustad Fida Hussain won the hearts of the people by singing many traditional Punjabi songs in a unique way. He was also proficient in ghazal singing.
Showbiz personalities and many political and social personalities, including musicians, expressed deep sorrow over the death of Ustad Fida Hussain and appreciated his services.
