Showbiz stars appeal to people to stay home

The Sindh government has announced a 15-day lockdown in the province due to the Coronavirus, after which the showbiz stars are implementing the government's directive and also sending messages to the public.

While Shahzad Roy issued a statement in support of Lockdown just before the announcement, other stars are now appealing to people to stay in their homes.

Actress Amina Shaikh shared a video on her Instagram account in which she and several prominent Pakistani celebrities appeared to be sending a message to the public to protect themselves from Corona and stay home.

In this video, the stars told the people about Corona while also talking about social distancing.

In this video, personalities like Amina Sheikh, Mahira Khan, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, Ahsan Khan, Aysha Omar, Adnan Siddiqui, Mesha Shafi, Sarmad Khosat, Yumna Zaidi and Sherman Obaid were seen.

This video was created in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

It is understood that due to the increasing coronavirus cases in the country, Sindh has been locked down for 15 days while in Gilgit Baltistan indefinitely.

The lockdown began at 12pm and would not allow people to get out of the house without need.

Regarding this lockdown, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah had said that the lockdown was implemented after consultation with all political parties, clergy and people from different walks of life, inside and outside the parliament.

He said that the cases transmitted locally to the coronavirus are increasing and we have to stop them otherwise it will be out of control.

The number of infected people has exceeded 800 in Pakistan. This is the first such virus that has been reported in Balochistan.

The death toll from the Coronavirus has risen to six across the country since the death.
