According to Dawn, the actor was immediately shifted to a hospital in Lahore where he could not recover after suffering a heart attack.
He has also been suffering from diseases such as diabetes and hepatitis for many years.
Ashraf Rahi's funeral was offered in Lahore, where some of his relatives and family members besides the actors attended.
Ashraf Rahi's fellow actors attribute his death to showbiz.
Ashraf Rahi has been a part of the Pakistani showbiz industry for the last four decades as a stage actor.
He has worked in more than 3,000 dramas in his career, while 'Ainak wala Jin' and 'Sofia Island' are counted among his popular plays.
Ashraf Rahi has also appeared in the movie 'Mehndi waale haath' while he also worked on an Indian project, 'Punjab di Kudi'.
Ashraf Rahi, who has a unique place in humor and sentence execution, has also shown abilities in projects such as 'Shartia Mithe', 'Miss wrong call', 'Mahi menu Challa Pava De, and 'Majajan'.
The late Ashraf Rahi has left three sons and one daughter.
