Rameez Raja, Asad Ali Khan Nominated Members of Pcb Board of Governors

Rameez Raja and Asad Ali Khan, two prominent pundits and former cricketers, have been nominated to the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) board of governors.
The Prime Minister nominated Rameez Raja and Asad Ali Khan as Patron-in-Chief PCB members of the Board of Governors for a three-year term, according to a notification released by the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination.
Following the Prime Minister's nominations to the Governing Board, the date for the election of Chairman PCB will be announced, with Rameez Raja expected to be chosen. Rameez Raja, a former captain, is no stranger to cricket administration. He had previously served as the PCB's chief executive officer until August 2004, when he stepped down.
According to the source, Election Commissioner Justice (Retd) Azmat Saeed would declare the date of the election for the 36th Chairperson of the PCB. It may be recalled that Rameez Raja told Dawn News a day ago that he had been informed about the appointment by the Prime Minister's House while confirming the decision to nominate him as PC chairman.
A statement issued by the PCB, on the other hand, indicated that Ehsan Mani will quit as chairman of the PCB, stating that he would not serve in this capacity for a second term.Ehsan Mani was appointed to the PCB's Board of Governors by the Prime Minister three years ago, and after the resignation of Najam Sethi, he was elected Chairman in September 2018.
In a statement, Ehsan Mani said, "I am grateful to Prime Minister Imran Khan and his PCB Board of Governors colleagues for their support over the last three years. We've established ourselves as a dependable, transparent, and professional organisation." There has been significant progress.
Rameez Raja, 59, is the younger brother of the late cricketer Wasim Raja, who played 57 Tests and 198 One-Day Internationals for Pakistan.
