King of Bahrain allowed sword hunt KARACHI: The federal government has issued special permits for rare bird hunting for internationally protected King Bahrain's Sheikh Hamad bin Isa bin Salman al-Khalifa and five other members of his family.

Reliable sources revealed that sword hunting permits have been issued during the hunting season of 20-2019.

In addition to the king of Bahrain, the victims include the king's uncle, the country's interior minister, adviser for defence, cousins and other members of the royal system.


Swords living in the Central Asian region come to Pakistan every year to survive the harsh weather in their homelands in the winter and return to their region after winter.

Sword hunting by Arab hunters has reduced the number of words in the world, which is protected not only under various international conservation conventions but is also banned under local Aid Life Protection laws.

Apart from this, Pakistani citizens are not allowed to hunt swords.

According to the Code of Conduct issued by the Foreign Ministry, a hunter can hunt 100 swords within 10 days during the hunting season from November 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020.

According to special permits issued by the Foreign Office Deputy Chief of Protocol Mohammad Adeel Pervez and sent to the Embassy of Bahrain in the Federal Capital Territory of Islamabad, King Sheikh Hamad of Bahrain became the name of the poachers and in areas designated for hunting. Isa bin Salman al-Khalifa was given the area of hunting for the district of Jamshoro (which includes Thano Bola Khan, Kotri, Manjhand and Sihon Tehsil).


Shaikh Ibrahim ibn Hamad ibn Abdullah al Khalifa, the uncle of the king of Bahrain, has been given permission to hunt the sword in Shah Bandar Tehsil of Sujawal District.

The king's cousin, who is also the interior minister of Bahrain, will hunt for sword in Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah al-Khalifa's Nowshera Feroz district of Sindh province and Jafarabad district in Balochistan.

The adviser to the King of Bahrain, Shaikh Abdullah bin Salman al-Khalifa, will hunt the sword in the Tehsil district of Sujawal.

The king's cousin Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid bin Abdullah al-Khalifa will be hunted by Tando Mohammad Khan, while another cousin, Sheikh Ahmad bin Ali al-Khalifa, will be hunted in the districts of Hyderabad and Malir (except Malir Cantonment and DhabiJi areas).
