India: Suicide attempts by a musician on live Facebook video become unsuccessful

Kolkata: A 28-year-old Indian musician threatened to commit suicide through live video on Facebook on social networking site Facebook, after which his friend immediately notified the local police and later rescued him.

According to a Times of India report, the musician's friend watched his live video on Facebook at around 1 pm on Saturday night and immediately told police, the musician said in the video that he would take his own life.

Upon the musician's friend's report, local police arrived at his house and explained the musician for an hour.

According to the composer he was disappointed because he was not moving forward in his career, he added that his band was also there but he was not earning enough to support himself.

According to the musician's mother, his son had a band that broke up after a few problems, after which his nets formed another band but he wants to make a big name in the field.

The mother added that she has been associated with the field for the past 10 years and has been struggling to earn a name but is now disappointed.

The mother and son are currently living in a relative's home, the musician's father went missing 2 years ago, according to the report.
