According to Indian media reports, Irfan Khan was going to work in a film directed by Anand Gandhi called 'Emergency'.

The story of this film was based on female scientists who are fighting an epidemic.

Referring to the film, director Anand Gandhi said, "Irfan and I were going to Pune together once, after which we became very good friends. He was going to work with me in a film called Emergency." I wish I had worked with him on a project.

The director also revealed that he had approached epidemiologist Larry Brilliant, who was set to become the film's executive producer, for the film.

"My film script was to cover epidemics, politics, and many other important topics," he added.

The project was being developed in collaboration with American Studios.

Remember that Irfan Khan was last seen working in the Bollywood film 'English Medium'.

Irfan Khan has acted in successful films like Peacock, Hindi Medium, Blue, Pan Singh Tomar, Maqbool, and Knockout in his career.

Irfan Khan was admitted to a Mumbai hospital on the night of April 28, 2020, when he suddenly fell ill.

According to Indian media reports, the actor had a colon infection.

Irfan Khan was diagnosed with the neuroendocrine disease in March 2018 and had moved from India to the UK for treatment.

At the time, Irfan Khan had said on social media that he had been feeling unwell for the past several days and that he had initially learned that he was suffering from a dangerous or contagious disease.

However, she clarified that it was not yet fully known what disease she was suffering from and what stage she had reached.

He returned to India in 2019 after recovering and after that his film 'English Medium' was also released which proved to be a success.

Irfan Khan shared his last message to his fans on Twitter in February this year and wrote, "I am with you today and not even".
