According to Indian media reports, Irfan Khan was going to work in a film directed by Anand Gandhi called 'Emergency'.

Referring to the film, director Anand Gandhi said, "Irfan and I were going to Pune together once, after which we became very good friends. He was going to work with me in a film called Emergency." I wish I had worked with him on a project.
The director also revealed that he had approached epidemiologist Larry Brilliant, who was set to become the film's executive producer, for the film.
"My film script was to cover epidemics, politics, and many other important topics," he added.
The project was being developed in collaboration with American Studios.
