Bollywood personalities express regret over religious riots in New Delhi

Protests on controversial citizenship law in the Indian capital, New Delhi, intensified since February 24 when US President Donald Trump first visited India, and as he watched the protests turned into violent protests.

At least 20 people were killed and more than 200 were injured during the demonstrations during the afternoon of February 24 to 26.

The protests witnessed religious riots, and Hindu extremists attacked Muslim places of worship, including attacks on Muslims.

While Pakistani politicians condemned the riots in New Delhi, top officials from other countries and US politicians also expressed regret that the Modi government demanded that peace be restored in the capital as soon as possible.

Like global politicians, Indian showbiz and media industry figures have expressed their regret over the massacre of Muslims in New Delhi, calling for the government to restore peace as soon as possible.

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt shared a picture of the brutal violence of a mob in New Delhi, writing that "tI don’t think we did go blind, I think we are blind, Blind but seeing, Blind people who can see but do not see. '

Actress Richa Chadda wrote on religious riots in New Delhi that "You got blood on your hands...you know who you are. As a true Hindu, I believe in karma. And it won’t wait till your next birth, it will manifest soon...as disease, penury, pain...you’d have earned this, like you’re earning extra money right now, celebrating the murder of others." The hands have their own blood.

Filmmaker, poet and writer Javed Akhtar also expressed regret over the killing of Muslims in New Delhi and wrote that 'under the plan, riots are being carried out in Delhi and everybody is becoming' narrow-eyed politician 'like Kapil Mishra. Are trying to create an atmosphere that the violence in Delhi was caused by the protests against the controversial citizenship law and the police will soon be able to control it.

Former girlfriend Roena Tandon also tweeted the Delhi riots and termed violence as the will of some miscreants and also wrote that if we have a little sympathy, we can express our condolences to those who died in the riots. Because those people have been under a lot of pressure for a long time.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta tweeted a brief but very meaningful statement that 'no protester wants corruption and no one protests'.

Actress Swara Bhaskar also tweeted about the riots in New Delhi and demanded peace from the Aam Aadmi Party, the recently formed government in Delhi.

Renowned female journalist Arifa Khanam Sherwani shares a tweet about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with US President Donald Trump, describing the historic event.

Arifa Khanam Sherwani wrote that 'Nero was playing the flute when Rome was burning'.

Renowned journalist Rana Ayub also made several tweets on the Delhi riots and described how bad the situation was there and how helpless the administration was.

He tweeted a video of the incident and wrote that after confirming that he had posted the above video in which a group of people from Delhi were seen flagging Hinduism after climbing the mosque's minaret.
