The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), informally known as Islamia University, is a public university located in Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan. Islamia University started as Jamia Abbasia, a strict college set up in Bahawalpur in 1925, after the academic interests of Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
