Shawn Mathis Wayans, born on January 19, 1971, is an American actor, DJ, producer, writer and comedian. He starred in The Wayans Bros. and FBI: Undercover fake blondes. He is the brother of Dwayne, Keenen Ivory, Diedra, Damon, Marlon, Kim, Elvira, Devonne and Nadia Wayans.

Shawn Wayans Youth

Shawn Mathis Wayans, born in New York, is the second youngest of the ten Wayans. He is Elvira’s son, a housewife and social worker, and Howell Wayans, a supermarket manager. Shawn Wayans grew up in the low- rent housing estates of Chelsea, Manhattan. He graduated in 1989 from Lycée Bayard Rustin.

Shawn Wayans made his debut in the film I’m Gonna Git You Sucka in 1988, directed by his older brother Keenen Ivory Wayans. And after that, in the In Living Color sketches, as DJ SW-1, then as an actor, working with his brother Keenen (creator of the series), Damon, Marlon and his sister Kim. With his brother Marlon, he created the sitcom The Wayans Bros.

Shawn Wayans co-wrote, co-produced and acted in the film directed by Paris Barclay: Spoof Movie (1996), in which Keenen appears. Shawn has appeared in episodes of MacGyver and Cooper and Us.

His career took off thanks to the film directed by his brother Keenen: Scary Movie (1999), a parody taking up the trend of horror films such as Scream or Remember … last summer. Shawn played Ray, a role he later reprised for Scary Movie 2. He keeps the family spirit intact since he will play again with his brother Marlon in 2004 in Keenen’s film White Chicks, who must pretend to be two blonde twins. In 2006, once again, the brothers returned in Little Man, co-written and co-produced by Shawn.
