Hill contradicted the actress’ claims that she did not participate in school shows, “not even a living crib” (“not even a nativity”). Indeed, according to Hill, it was at the age of five that she had her first stage experiences, first as an extra in the living crèche presented to her school, then by participating, with “natural confidence”, to several school singing shows.

In 2011, eight years old, she left Bournemouth for Orlando, Florida, where her parents opened a dental whitening business. From an early age, Millie has enjoyed singing and prefers watching musical films – such as Bugsy Malone, Annie, Moulin Rouge and Chicago – to cartoons.
